Now that we have snow on the ground, my family is welcoming the holiday season with open arms! Crafts + Cookies + Christmas books abound, along with lots of community cheer. Here's a quick roundup of favorite holiday happenings around the Twin Ports for you and your fam!
Christmas City of the North Parade:
Friday, November 18th in Duluth
Duluth's Holiday Parade! Head downtown to experience the parade filled with lots of local love and Christmas cheer. It features local marching bands, dance performances, floats and an appearance by Santa. The parade begins in front of the Fitger’s Brewing Complex at Sixth Avenue East and marches on Superior Street to Fourth Avenue West. Friday, November 18th @ 6:30pm-Plus hop into some really great small businesses while you are down there!
Bentleyville Tour of Lights:
Open nightly during the holidays!
A family favorite! Bentleyville is open the entire Christmas season and is totally free (except parking!). This Christmas light experience includes 5 million lights, a visit with Santa, campfires, and treats along the way. If you are local, I recommend visiting on a Tuesday or Wednesday to avoid the long lines!
See the Visitor Guide

Duluth Winter Village:
December 3rd & 4th at the DECC
Our favorite Small Business event of the year! This event has lots of festive offerings with families in mind. Park at the DECC and head over to the harbor for local shopping in the cutest cabins. Then hop indoors for lots of delicious local food + an artisan market hosted by North & Shore! This event also hosts fuzzy animals, free afternoon ice skating each day, and a mom + baby area.

December 10th at Enger Lofts
The FIRST annual Deck the Halls event. Hop over to Lincoln Park for an indoor artisan market, live music, and family activities! Outdoors you can meet a sled dog, take a photo with Santa, and roast a mallow with us. We are so excited for this family Christmas event- check out the facebook event

The Nutcracker Ballet:

Head to the DECC for this beautiful performance! The Nutcracker Ballet features a live orchestra and performers from the Minnesota Ballet. A sweet holiday treat for you and your family- more info
